If you're ready for a new addition to your family, feel free to call (808) 265-9464. We live all the way out in Kahuku, so be prepared to drive a ways if you're in the city. We reserve the right to not sell you a puppy if we deem that they might not be a good fit for your family. We only want the best for these three little dogs, and so we'd like to see them go to a family, or person who will have the time and patience, and most importantly love, for these lil' munchkins.
I'd suggest researching the Chi-Jacks (or Jack-Chi's) first, as they are a newer "hybrid" breed and will pull traits from both Chihuahuas, and Jack-Russell Terriers. Our Chi-Jacks are actually 3/4 Chihuahua, and 1/4 Jack-Russell Terrier. This means that they will probably be quite a bit smaller than most 50-50 Jack-Chi's. Expect them to weigh somewhere in the range of 4-10 lbs, when fully grown.
We've opted not to vaccinate our puppies, as new evidence is emerging about the dangers of vaccinating small dogs that weigh less than 11 pounds. We just feel that if you plan on keeping your puppy indoors, then the risks in vaccinating outweigh the benefits. We'll leave that important decision, up to you and your family.
If you're concerned about socialization of the puppy, well no need to fret, as we already have 7 dogs. Besides the parents, we also own 3 German Shepherds, as well as 2 older sisters of this litter. As you might infer, yes, we're DOG PEOPLE.lol We just fell in love with the first litter, and kept 2 out of the 3 that were born. If it wasn't insane and unreasonable to do so, we'd have had no problem keeping this entire litter, but alas, 10 dogs is just a tad-bit over the top...lol.
Two sisters (Fluffy and Jackie) from last litter. |
Little boy...he's a fair bit bigger than his sisters, and looks a lot like his dad. |
Little white girl. She looks a lot like her older sister Jackie. |
Little black girl. She is a cross between her mother and father. |
Baxter. He's the father of the puppies and is an AKC Chihuahua. |
Trixie, the mother. She's 1/2 Chihuahua and 1/2 Jack-Russell Terrier. |
Anyway, if you're interested in giving one of our little rascals a warm and loving home, feel free to call the aforementioned phone number, or shoot us a quick email. My wife will probably want to talk on the phone with you first, before setting up an appointment to come on out to our house. There is no way around this fact. She just wants to get a feel for you, and your situation, if only to make sure that our puppies go to the best home possible. The asking price for each puppy is 250.00 dollars, and not a penny less, so if you want to haggle, I'd suggest you look elsewhere. If you fit our criteria, and the puppy fits yours, you can probably take a baby home sometime this week. They are all eating dry kibble, (we feed them the Super Premium Costco brand Puppy food, so if you already have a membership there, all the better) and are almost completely weaned off of their mother.
If you have small children, I'd suggest getting a crate or dog carrier of some kind, as they are quite small, and could easily be stepped on. Walmart carries them, and usually has the best price on the island. I'd recommend getting a carrier or crate made for cats though, as even the small-breed dog carriers, are a bit too big.
We don't let our small dogs outside, and so they are all housebroken. The 3 little ones have all caught on fairly quickly, aside from the odd accident, and so I don't foresee any issues with that. We use the dog-training pads from either Costco or Walmart, but have also used newspapers with success, if caught in a pinch.
I've tried to be as thorough as possible here, but still recommend that you give a quick read to the web pages I've hyperlinked above. Especially important, are the websites that explain the breed in detail. Do your research, and if you feel like one our puppies might be a good fit for your home, give us a call, (808)265-9464, shoot us an email., or just leave a comment below. We look forward to hearing from you.
